Our History

Blue Orchard Honey-Flower Farm and Micro-Resort, and the on-site Blue Bee Bed & Breakfast, named for the Native Blue Honeybee of Missouri, are located at Hwy 38/Culver Lane, on the original James & Sally Todd Family Farm. They settled in Wright County Missouri during the early 1800’s having travelled west by wagon train from the Carolina’s. This farm passed down through the generations to the Todd, Latimer, Pyatt and Culver intermarried family descendants. Beginning in the mid 1970’s James and Sally Pyatt-Culver dairy farmed the land. Their retirement in the 2020’s led to the opportunity for family members to incorporate a self-sustainable regenerative farm which produces organic crops of vegetables, fruit, herbs and flowers while hosting homestead training, and recreational family friendly events. Nestled in the heart of the Ozarks along the Trans-America Bicycling Route the views are spectacular. Travelers or locals are welcome to enjoy the 2+ miles of walking trails situated among the native hardwoods and flower fields, the small eco-friendly camping areas with cabins or the comfort and cooking at the Blue Bee Bed & Breakfast which features an on-site Tea House filled with specialty deserts.
